Integration with ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager
As a certified ENERGY STAR partner, the MACH Energy's system integrates with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to support either read-only or read-and-update sharing of data in the Portfolio Manager. This integration saves you time by providing regular and automatic updates of energy information to the Portfolio Manager. In addition, ENERGY STAR information can be added to building and portfolio reports in the MACH Insights, consolidating and simplifying energy reporting.
In order to set up the integration of ENERGY STAR data with MACH Energy, you need to log into Portfolio Manager and configure data sharing. It’s a fairly straightforward set of steps documented below. If you do not have a Portfolio Manager account, or do not have any buildings set up in your Portfolio Manager account, you will need to create and populate an account with the buildings and meters that are set up in Insights service.
Adding MACH Energy to your Portfolio Manager Contacts
When you log in to Portfolio Manager you will be taken to your Portfolio Manager home page. Click on the Contacts link in the upper right corner of the page. You will be taken to the My Contacts page. On the My Contacts page, click on the Add Contact button.
On the Add Contact page, you will be presented with two options. You can either search for an existing contact or add a new contact. Since MACH Energy already has a Portfolio Manager account, use the “Find Contact in Portfolio Manager” form. Enter energystarpm@wellstat.io for the email search, then click the Search button.
The search will return the result shown above. If the search does not return any results, you are already connected to us, and can continue to “Sharing Properties and Meters.” Otherwise, click on the Connect button. A MACH Energy Terms of Use page will be displayed. Accept the terms and click on the Send Connection Request button. A request will be sent to MACH Energy, which will acknowledge and accept your connection request.
Sharing Properties and Meters
Once MACH Energy has accepted your connection request, you can share properties and meters. Click the Sharing tab to share a property, then click on the Share (or Edit Access to) button in the My Shared Properties window. The example uses the multiple properties option.
After selecting the properties you wish to share, choose MACH Energy as the account you want to share with. Select Personalized Sharing & Exchange Data ("Custom Orders") under Choose Permissions, then click the Continue button.
Configuring Access
For each property that you want to share with MACH Energy you need to click the radio button under Exchange Data. You will be prompted to specify permissions for each property and its meters.
If you want MACH Energy to upload consumption data for a meter and download and report Energy Star Scores, choose Full Access. If you already have a third party that is updating the energy information or if you want to continue updating the information yourself, choose Read Only Access. You can change your mind later and enable Full Access at any time.
The example shows that the MACH Insights is allowed to upload consumption data for the Electric Grid Meter but not the Natural Gas meter where the data is being updated outside of MACH.
After specifying meter permissions, SCROLL DOWN and click the Apply Selections & Authorize Exchange button. Once you have completed specifying permissions for all buildings, click the Share Property(ies) button to send the sharing requests to the MACH gateway. Using property names, addresses, and account information, MACH will map the properties and meters that you have shared with the appropriate buildings accounts and meters in Insights. If we are unable to find a match for a property or meter, we will contact you for assistance.
