What is the IAQ Index?
The IAQ Index gives you control to define what environmental sensors are important to your spaces by allowing you to define what thresholds define Great, Good, Acceptable, or Elevated levels for your operations. The index processes numerous sensors and thousands of readings into an easy to understand view into operations with the ability quickly take action to correct any out-of-bound behaviors.
Default Index Levels
iES MACH gets you started with a default set of levels for your IAQ Index. Our default settings vary depending on the locations and purpose of the WellStat Sensors. There can be different settings for outside air, supply air, return air, and open and closed office spaces. You can update the default to customize the index’s levels for your operations.
Since no industry standard spans the spectrum sensors available in the WellStat Sensor array, our specific levels are derived from qualified sources and industry best practices. For good and great levels we utilize the WELL Guideline thresholds. Acceptable and Elevated levels we use EPA and OSHA’s eight hours exposure limits for indoor spaces. The table below reflects our latest levels, citing our sources on levels where available.

Notes:
Due to the uncontrollable nature of outside air, by default WellStat Sensor data for outside air is excluded from the IAQ Index. You may still want to set index levels with alerting for outside air to modify operations if hazardous outside air conditions exist.
All lighting sensors (LUX) are inactive from the IAQ index by default.

Customizing Your IAQ Index
The default index is designed to capture best practices for typical office and duct conditions. We recognize that not all spaces are typical and buildings each have their own set of operating boundaries, including the option of tenants requirements. For these reasons, we provide complete control and flexibility to adjust levels in our IAQ.
To adjust your settings visit the WellStat Configuration Page.
Modifying Building Defaults
Select the Location Type that you want to change the defaults for.
Use the sliders to click and adjust the levels to your desired thresholds for each Sensor.
Hit ‘Save’
Modifying IAQ Levels for Specific Spaces
Under ‘Configure’, select the first space you want to modify.
Hit ‘New’ and provide a name.
Use the sliders to click and adjust the levels to your desired thresholds for each sensors.
Hit ‘Save’
You can select other spaces in your building and assign the created Index to them.
